List of new emojis 14.0

In the fall of 2021, the Unicode consortium released a list of new emoji version 14.0. It includes 838 characters, 37 of which are new.

The list of new emojis includes:

21. Coral;
22. Crutch;
23. Empty Nest;
24. Nest with Eggs;
25. Biting Lip;
26. Hamsa;
27. Heavy Equals Sign;
28. Identification Card;

There will also be 75 new skin tones and unique Pregnant Man and Pregnant Person emojis. 112 new smilies in total.

Comparison of the 1997 Human emoji and the 2021 Human emoji:

The Unicode consortium actively strives for specificity and variety, including in the field of gender aspects. For example, in the original Japanese emoji of the 1990s, the variety in the selection of images of a person was limited to four examples of images of a person. And with the latest emoji update, the number of combinations has exceeded 40 options.

1997 Human Emoji Options:

2021 Human Emoji Options:

Older options of emojis couldn’t cover the full range of human characteristics, such as skin color, gender, hairstyle, etc. Today people's outlook has become more varied and less conservative. The strict gradation of occupations and deeds has gone for a particular type of gender. Unisex haircuts and clothing appeared.

Below is a list of some of the emojis available in 2021:

1. Human category: 👨, 👩, 🧑, 👨‍🦲, 🧔, 👩‍🦰.
2. Professions category: 👮, 👮‍♂️, 👮‍♀️, 🧑‍🌾, 👨‍🌾, 👩‍🌾.
3. Fantasy Images category: 🦸, 🦸‍♀️, 🦸‍♂️, 🧝, 🧝‍♀️, 🧝‍♂️.

Since 1997, the emoji depicting a person has appeared in different colors of skin and hair, hairstyles have been replenished, hats and clothes have been added. In 2016, in the emoji version 4.0, the professions emojis were added: teacher, doctor, detective, police officer, scientist, etc.

Therefore, Unicode in the 14.0 update introduced new color schemes for some of the old emojis and added new ones. Including the unique emoji Pregnant man and Pregnant person.

Pregnant Man Emoji

Pregnant man emoji is a pregnant man emoji in various skin tones and hairstyles.

How and where to use it:

The Pregnant man emoji can be used by both transgender people to more accurately identify themselves and express their emotions in a conversation, and other people to describe various non-standard situations.

New emojis will appear in late 2021 and early 2022. Google will receive the update first, followed by Apple, Twitter, Samsung, and Facebook.
